About Donella
Now residing in Gladstone QLD. Born in Taree NSW and grew up in Moorland NSW.
Donella first impacted on country music releasing her debut album Remember The Dance in 2000.This album produced three successful national radio hits. On releasing her second album in 2001, Donella toured Australia and New Zealand extensively with the top country music artists. She also won numerous nominations and awards as well as appearing on Bert Newton’s Good Morning Australia.
Born to sing and raised on Country and Gospel Music, Donella has a strong sense of who she is and what she wants to say and uses music and song to get the message across. One of her biggest musical influences as she was growing up was Dolly Parton. Taking her songs to heart and digesting her every inflection has given Donella a close connection with Dolly's music. Donella also sounds so much like Dolly that if you were to close your eyes, you would have trouble telling the difference.
2001 saw a second album of Duets titled: Working Man 2002 release of the Third Album titled: If The Teardrops FallIn between 2002 and 2009 Donella toured Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand whilst recording vocals on other Independent Artists albums. Also during that time Donella took time out to become a Mother, while still performing. Donella is back in demand at festivals across the nation with her latest album The Colours Of Me. Then recording a favourites album titled At Your Request which has proved a crowd pleaser.
